My reaction to this book was that it is really eye opening to see what the S.E.A.L’s really go through and how bad it can be for them at times being deployed overseas for months at a time without seeing their families or friends. Sometimes they have to go weeks without a real meal or showers and have open cuts constantly from walking through the rocky Iraq and Afghanistan terrain. Most of the time in the states for recruiting purposes they make war look like it is great and that you can choose what you do in the MIlitary, and that is not always true most of the time you have to do several other jobs to be qualified and ready for the job you have wanted from the start. When you look at the war and you see the number of deaths on your screen from a war in Iraq or Afghanistan it just looks like a number to us but when that is your brothers and sisters dying it is a lot harder thing to handle than you think.
